DANIEL “TULSA” MORRISEY
Serving as Chief Programs Officer, TULSA’s early involvement with Blue Air has afforded him the satisfaction of watching Blue Air Training grow from its infancy as a four-ship fleet into the industry leader in contract CAS.
Beginning as a contractor on CAS exercises, he now also serves as the company’s Nellis JTACQC Program Manager, in addition to continuing his roles as instructor, evaluator, CAS SME, and MSO instructor. With over 4000 hours of flight time, TULSA is qualified in both the IAR-823 and A-90.TULSA began his Air Force career as an Aircraft Maintenance officer on B-1Bs, prior to entering pilot training at Columbus AFB. Upon graduation, he was awarded an A-10 and throughout his career flew the Hawg in Europe, Korea, and CONUS-wide, including the WFFT. Additionally, TULSA served several combat tours in the air and on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan before completing his Air Force career as an Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) Instructor Pilot in the AT-38.
One of TULSA’s strongest suits, his ability to distill complex concepts and problems into innovative and effective solutions, has helped make him an expert at maximizing the training experience for Blue Air Training’s JTAC clients. In his work for Blue Air, TULSA is constantly looking for new ways to refine the company’s training techniques and processes to deliver the most innovative and groundbreaking CAS training to troops in the field. He credit’s much of Blue Air Training’s success with its flexibility as a private contractor to be singly focused on delivering the best and most innovative JTAC training experience to its clients. TULSA is looking forward to new challenges ahead, as Blue Air expands its operations, while maintaining the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and quality.
Originally hailing from Indiana, TULSA now resides with his wife and kids in Las Vegas. He’s grateful for the work-life balance that his position with Blue Air Training affords him, spending his free time with his family and watching his boys grow up.
